It is metal all the way through
The plate is milled from solid stock. Edges get polished to a bevel and the surface is anodized, so the finish sits in the metal itself instead of sitting on top of it as a coating that can chip.
Lettering can be laser engraved for permanence, or printed in full color when a brand mark needs exact color. Engraving wins for longevity. A badge worn every day for ten years will not show it.

Executive Metal FAQ
Should I engrave the name or print it?
Engraving is permanent and gives you the classic recessed look, but a laser can only cut so much detail. Printing handles full-color logos exactly. A lot of executive badges do both: engraved name, printed logo.
Do these feel heavier than your other badges?
Yes, noticeably, and that's on purpose. Still light enough for a magnet to hold it flat against a jacket lapel all day.

Do I see a proof before you go into production?
Always. Nothing gets run until you sign off on a digital proof, and we do not charge for proof revisions.
