Short answer
Google Docs has no built-in label tool, so insert a table sized to your badge (for example 2 columns by 4 rows for 3 x 4 inch inserts) and set the page margins to match the sheet. For a whole list, a label add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace can merge names from a Google Sheet.

Step by step
- 1Measure one badge insert and the sheet's top and side margins.
- 2In Docs set File, Page setup margins to the sheet's margins.
- 3Insert a table with one cell per badge. Drag cell borders to the measured size, or right-click, Table properties, and type the column width and minimum row height.
- 4Remove the table borders if you do not want cut lines to print.
- 5Type names, center them, and use a bold sans serif at 20 point or more.
- 6Print a plain-paper test, check it against the sheet, then print.
For 20 names or more, keep the names in Google Sheets and use a label merge add-on so you are not retyping each cell.
